~ Midwest Energy and Communications (MEC) – Cassopolis, MI ~
Prior to starting KDA Broadband, the leadership was instrumental in building MEC’s 2,500 mile network in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. KDA designed and managed the Adrian part of the MEC system consisting of more than 700 miles of fiber in southeastern Michigan and northwest Ohio.
KDA was also responsible for training MEC staff on fiber technology and business so they could operate as efficient when it was time for KDA to step away to other projects.
~ HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative (HomeWorks) – Portland, MI ~
KDA designed and managed all of Phase V of their network as well as a large piece of Phase IV. This consisted of 650 miles in Phase V, with nearly 100 miles of underground construction from Phase IV. Following successful completion of these phases, KDA took on the role of design / management of various smaller pieces. These areas include; the City of Portland, MI, Danby Township, Stockbridge in Ingham county, and multiple RDOF projects.
We still have a small presence with HomeWorks as we continue small projects in Ionia county, Clinton county, and Eaton county.

~ Thumb Electric Cooperative (TEC) – Ubly, MI ~
TEC, in the middle of a 2,500 mile fiber network build, determined that they needed assistance in managing their fiber construction project. KDA Broadband took over construction management and inspection services to provide a higher quality system. KDA has been partnered with TEC for over 2 successful years now and counting.
